Introduction

For about several years, technology has been a key driver of social change. The purpose of this paper is to highlight four social changes occurred because of technology, as well as explains three social change processes described by William Ogburn.

Discussion

The first social change refers to gathering and hunting societies that transformed into pastoral and horticultural societies. This type of societies permitted people to made permanent settlements and to stop moving around. Human societies grew bigger with dependable food sources.
