Introduction

There are several methods adapted to test and assess the learning achievement of students. Nonetheless, the adoption of these approaches might vary in case where the learners' achievements are assessed in context of learning English by speakers of another language. The learning of English language is essential for immigrants that leave their hometown and come to the countries and geographical regions where English is preferred over other languages. This is due to the reason that most of the residents in those areas are familiar with the prescribed language.

Nonetheless, English is one of the commonly spoken languages in those areas. There is different assessment criteria established for English learning by speakers of another language. However, there are several concerns acknowledged representing the assessment approaches as some speakers of another language argue that assessment approaches are quite strict and require amendment. This concern has been reconsidered by the concerned authorities and diverse amendments have been made in the assessment approaches.
