November 22nd, 1963

It was the unfortunate day of November 22nd, 1963 when the President was driving in a motorcade through the Dallas, Texas. At around 12:30 PM in the afternoon, the President was shot dead by a gunman who fired the shot from a nearby apartment. After suffering from four major gunshot wounds, the President finally lost his life an hour later and was declared dead at the Parklands Hospital (Lerner & Lerner, 2006).

Significance of the Assassination

After the President's assassination, the western world entirely lost hope and went into a period of joint mourning. The murder was not only counted among the most infamous murders within the century, but was also counted among the most investigated murders list. However, when the assassin who executed the unfortunate deed, Lee Harvey Oswald was himself found killed in less than two days duration of his arrest; a multitude of theories started revolving around the nation.
