Migration is the gateway to a country of people who were born or came from elsewhere. Represents one of the options or alternatives of the term migration , which applies to the movement of people from one place to another and these shifts imply a change of residence either temporary or permanent. The two migration options are: migration, which is the departure of persons from a country, region or place to go to a different and immigration, which is the entry into a country, region or place from elsewhere.

Thus, it is valid to study the migration from the point of view of host country (or rather, first, because immigrants are not always welcomed in the country of entry), because the situation is very different and often even opposed to the country or place of immigration.
