The information which was provided by the witness named, Helen Brooks was somehow and to some extend accurate in a way that, being a neighbor downstairs she might easily come up with the facts and with all the information about her neighbor's activities. So she did, in the case of Tom Randall's case. As she quoted in her witness statement that Tom was a party animal and most of his college mate's parties were considered as full of wild activities, which is why she was insisting the whole jury about the accurateness of the information provided by her.

Being a friend of friend, Mr. William Doyle information can not be appreciated as much as of Ms. Helen Brook because he was not completely or to any extend was noticeable and aware with the activities and the lifestyle of Tom Randall. The reason in order to support my argument is that, Mr. William Doyle was not directly connected to Mr. Tom Randall. As he was not his direct friend or something but he was just arrived at Tom's Party being a third person. So that is why his statement of witness can not be taken as much seriously as of Ms. Helen Brook who was Tom's neighbor.
