Introduction

Management accounting aims at improving economic efficiency as the ultimate goal. It uses a variety of methods, which include recognition, measurement, collection, analysis and regulating the corporate governance structure. This paper presents a critique of research articles “Management accounting and corporate governance: An institutional interpretation of the agency problem” written by Will Seal. The article was published in 2006 in Management Accounting Research journal. This article analyzes how management accounting is implicated in corporate governance (Seal, 2006).
