The contemporary social environment is highly influenced by the phenomenon of internet. The youth today are highly involved in their internet activities, and they have even replaced their normal lives with their virtual identities. The advancement in the technology has made the dependence of the youth on their virtual environment, even more severe; and now the teenagers can just keep in touch with their virtual life thorough their smart phones and wifi connections. The article has discussed this dependence of the teens on the internet, in great detail and it has also presented certain negative repercussions. When teen agers spend an excessive amount of time on their laptops or other electronic devices, they are at a risk of developing several stress related health problems. These problems if persisted for an extensive period of time can result in the serious brain degradation. The teenagers have to drastically alter their degenerative lifestyles, so that they can maintain a healthy physical and social life.

The advances in the technology have enabled the doctors to detect event the minutest of diseases and effectively treat them. The advances can enable the doctors to treat certain fatal diseases before they can develop into critical stages; hence they have the opportunity to save countless lives.
