Art as Communication

Introduction

Art work can calm the soul or deliver a message. It depends on the viewer's perception, outlook, the world around him and his own state of thought. Since each individual differs from the next, everyone takes a different meaning from works of art. This paper discusses two pieces of art that I hold very dear to my heart; 'The New England Holocaust' and 'Nancy, A Passage of Time'. The paper also discusses my personal interpretation of both.
