This week's discussion topic is immensely interesting regarding the Baroque era and I have selected the painting of Francisco de Zurbarán's “Saint Serapion”. The feature of grave suffering and dramatic brutality of counter-reformation i.e. Catholic domination in the baroque era is significantly illuminated in this painting.
