Architecture Paper

Introduction

In this paper we will be discussing an architecture building near by the community. We will be discussing how the building is put together using the following elements of architecture-Structure, materials, line, repetition, balance, scale, context space and proportion. Also be indicating how the building either assists or inhibits a smooth traffic flow through its space or spaces. Further we will discuss how the build stimulates the senses and the relationship between line, form color and texture of the selected building. The building I have chosen for this analysis is the First Christian Church.

Discussion

First Christian Church is a permanent building that was erected in 1900. The purpose of the building is to hold religious gatherings and ceremonies such as sermons, baptisms and weddings. When you look carefully you can also see stones that have been used as building materials (FCCmurray.com 2006-2007).

Repetition in architecture is the easiest way to design because you use the same measurements and drawings to create several components of a structure. In the case of the First Christian Church the stained glass ...
