Personal Statement

Clinical psychology, I believe is the field that requires an experience, understanding, and an ability to relieve psychological based distress and a feeling to help a person in the personal development. According to Friedrich Nietzsche, “Idleness is the parent of psychology”.

There are a number of fields such as psychological assessment and physiotherapy that are central to be in a field of clinical psychology. I am interested in getting an admission to the program clinical psychology because this is the area of my interest. Since high school I have been interested in learning about the human psyche. I have spent an exciting time in the related fields of psychology, and believe that my future goals can best be achieved if I get a chance to be associated with this program. My goal is to continue to work in the field of the social sciences. I currently practice outside of my fulltime job with Therapeutic Associates and I will continue to practice as a Licensed Practice Associate Counselor and National Certified Counselor.

I also have an interest in the related area of psychology and believe that there should be seminars, workshops on this subject. One of my major plans in this regards is to launch a program in which I will go and meet the families, who are not aware about a number of problems that their love ones are facing. I will provide them proper guidance and platform so as to understand and acknowledge the issues that are prevailing in their houses. This guidance also helps them to prevent the following occurrences of such events. I have planned to take with me a group of people and we will survey a number of houses and then make proper identification about the issues that most of families are facing. If possible, my plan is too also include a number of Psychology related field professionals with whom I have worked so as to make the program more successful and helpful to the suffering ones. Also, a practicality of the environment will be taught to the families so that the concept of self-care will be flourished because, I believe that it is very important for survival in present dynamic environment.

Another objective that I believe the admission in the program of clinical psychology will help me to achieve is the organization of a support program for children. The understanding that I will get from this course will make me better able to deal with psychological issues from which the youngsters of the present age are suffering. I have plans to create such a social network that help child to become strong and confident, and at the same time understand the issues from which the family member is suffering.
