A number of multinational and global organizations are operating these days, using highly specialized and outstanding techniques and management strategies that not only ensure success of the organization but also provide an example for other organizations. The basic secret of success of any organization is embedded in the vision and management technique of that organization and thus can be viewed by having an overview of the mission and vision statements and the management techniques of that organization.

The multinational organization selected for this assignment is 'Apple Inc.', that was founded by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak in 1970, mainly for the purpose creating a personal computer. The same organization was incorporated in 1977 in the state of California, thus marking the beginning of a new era in information and technology.

Impact of Mission Statement on success of the organization

Mission Statement of any organization basically highlights the purpose of its establishment and also highlights the path that it is expected to follow. The Mission Statement of Apple is comprehensive and detailed, thus highlighting the actual cause of the establishment and the aims of the organization. The mission statement of Apple states that: “Apple Computer is committed to protecting the environment, health and safety of our employees, customers and the global communities where we operate. We recognize that by integrating sound environmental, health and safety management practices into all aspects of our business, we can offer technologically innovative products and services while conserving and enhancing recourses for future generations. Apple strives for continuous improvement in our environmental, health and safety management systems and in the environmental quality of our products, processes and services”.

The mission statement has played a vital role in success of the organization and has assisted in maintaining the best quality standards while complying with the health and security standards. It is eminent to mention here that a number of organizations have resulted in being a failure because of non-compliance with the health and security standards. Moreover, Apple believes in serving the world without any discrimination or differences and thus has been making and launching products internationally. It also highlights that the organization believes in innovation and thus has been creating technology since its inception.

The fact that Apple has its eyes on future and has been making products that would serve not only the present but the coming generations as well has played a major part in success and progress of the organization. There are a number of other organization operating and producing technological products, but Apple has an edge over them because it produces new products and comes up with innovative ideas.
