Introduction

We al know and say that it is the effort of man which takes him towards success, and in the case when a man does a wrong act, he goes towards punishment. If a person has done well he would not just be successful, but he would also be respected for what ever he has earned on his own, and in the case of a crime, a person does not just gets punishment, but he also loses his self respect. Every country today is comprised of law, and people who take unfairly advantage of others, or violate the laws, are certainly punished according to the intensity of their crime.

One can say that just desert concerns the past actions of a person. Just desert basically justifies every punishment that humans get in order to teach them a lesson. The over all idea of desert is not bad at all, this is what a lot of people say. If some one has done something bad and has committed a crime that has violated some one's rights, he has to be punished in order to make sure that he does not commit such an act in the future.

Revenge is a greed that arises inside every person and if somehow the government fails to help those victims get justice, they would throw them selves in to something even worse. Lets take an example of a thief, who has robbed of some ones jewelry, and now in this case, if the government fails to restore the peace and help the victim get his holdings back, the victim would be very impatient and would certainly take some illegal acts.
