as a collective or individual meaning system which is much similar to various other systems in different aspects including functioning, malleability and structure as it posses unique characteristics in the special and comprehensive way in which the quest for meaning can be fulfilled. This approach has a significant contribution in the understanding of complex association between religion and terrorism. He describes a proper way to analyze the complex relationship between terrorism and religion in both recent and past events. In this book, different religious systems have given different meanings to goals, such as tradition maintenance and implemented for achieving these goals. Author has associated different religious connotations with various terrorist organizations.

In this book, writer describes the global involvement of al Qaeda network which has gained the attention of world from last few years. Writer mentions that religion actually discourages terrorism. It discourages violent activities and does not suggest fighting against innocent people. It encourages building a peaceful environment in order to achieve its goal. Terrorist organization originated from Arab Peninsula and further spread in different Middle East countries. It can be said that terrorism is not only originated in Islamic countries but it is actually a ubiquitous phenomenon. So, focusing on Islamic terrorism and limiting the concern, this book offers an adequate policy reactions and a complete and comprehensive judgment in the long run.

This book is much relevant to the criminal activities conducting all over the world especially in US. In Middle East countries, terrorism is not new. Muslims and Jews have been using terrorism since ages. Jewish Zealots used terrorism as a means of resisting the Romans and it was used by Muslims against the crusades and they also used it to resist each other. In this period, terrorism was used to kill people who were against religion. Religion and terrorism are companions from the beginning. Terrorism against religious enemies was considered as a pious act in religion.
