An Explanatory and investigative research was conducted on the assessment of reduction in job satisfaction and the distress of realities among fresh graduate nurses of the year 2012 in Istanbul. The main aim of study was to examine the reasons of decreased interest in job, satisfaction in employment and the distress of realities in the nurses who are freshly graduated. The sample that was selected for the study was 347 nurses and they were employed in health training and research of ministry of health of Istanbul. The nurses having an experience of minimum two years and maximum of more than two years were selected for the study. The research was conducted with the help of survey forms. The members of research were informed about the purpose of study and they were provided with the survey forms in sealed envelopes. The results were evaluated through the package of statistics of social sciences. According to the results the initial period of profession was complicated for approximately 79% of nurses and about 73% nurses stated that they are not satisfied with the outcomes of their career. In addition, 53% of nurses have not decided anything about their career. It was also extracted from the study that 45% of the nurses wanted to leave their profession after the completion of two months. Therefore, it can be concluded that the process of intern practice in the program can assist the freshly graduate nurses in the process of transition. The cooperation among the schools and hospitals has found to be increasing by the period of internship. A broader view of the research was no achieved furthermore; it was helpful in altering the curriculum of nursing. The research has provided the guidelines for the education programs of nursing as well the hospital administrators.

The research was conducted in the form of longitudinal study among the new graduate nurses. The research was conducted about the experiences of distress and bullying from the month of July to November of the year 2009 in a Canadian hospital. The main aim of the study was to investigate the relation of the observation of nurses related to empowerment like resource, ability to learn and development of experiences with the harassment and distress at the workplace. The research was conducted with 415 freshly graduate nurses those have an experience of maximum three years. The theoretical framework that was selected for the study was the Kanter's theory of work empowerment. Research took place on the basis of questionnaires that were based on the survey of Maslach Burnout Inventory-General.
