The study would be based on using data from 1996-2009, which will be based on multiple survey and income program panel. The study investigates the physical health, doctor contact and dental visits of low income children of age group 8 average. Those who are immigrants are further differentiated on the basis immigration status and household citizenship.

Intensity Among Students at a Historically Black University The Role of Social Norms, Perceptions for Risk, and Selected Demographic Variables, Journal of Black Psychology, Vol. 38 no. 3 368-390

The study was based on the drinking rates and patterns of HBCUs which are not well understood. Perception of risk and social norms are considered as the two explanatory mechanisms which have resulted in creating a substantial amount of variance in the college students drinking more importantly in white campuses. The study was based on 204 participants from black university in United States and a questionnaire was distributed between them which assesses their alcohol related behaviour and the results showed that 59% were accounted of use of alcohol.

The study discusses that as a result of women earning degrees in STEM fields, there is a continuous lack in the number of women who pursue degree in mathematics. Black women are invisible in this particular field. This qualitative study was based on examining the experiences of graduate and undergraduate Black women mathematicians. There was variation seen between women who attended HBCU and those who did not attend HBCU.
