The researchers took the initiative of how couples who were suffering from Diabetes Type II have coping up with it. The study draws from the effect that social relationships can have on the recovery and treatment of the disease. During this research, four different themes including educating victims regarding the disease, sharing their experiences with others, supporting each other and motivating oneself to fight diabetes were researched. The study is qualitative in nature and provides rich insight into the effect of relationships and community in recovering from diabetes.
