Introduction:

The following articles are from various psychology journals and deal with various topics related to the field of psychology. It has been kept in view that the articles cover different fields and deal with diverging topics, in order to get a better understanding of the subject and get a better and broader idea.

Fear of failure, disorganization, and subjective well-being in the context of preparing for an exam (2012):

The paper deals with the relationship between the fear of failure, incompetence and effective preparation while preparing for the exams. Both longitudinal, as well as cross sectional research, were carried out to study results and impact of the fear of examination. The results showed that the fear was inversely proportional to the well being of the students—the more fear of examination; the more are chances of the student's disorganization and performing poorly. Furthermore, the research shows that the fear of not performing well, or the examination fear causes deviations in the path of success of students in the cross- sectional studies, but no such influence was there in the longitudinal study. This implies that the examination fear effects performance of students in the short term but have no significant impact in the long run. However, it is imminent to mention here that no impact was observed that disorganization did not present any prediction regarding the performance of individuals during examination.

Rigidity rather than age as a limiting factor in the appreciation of innovative design (2012):

The paper deals with the difference in the opinion of the costumers that emerge due to their age differences. The paper originally seeks to get an understanding of the degree of appreciation that the latest and innovative designs receive— there was analysis of both young and old costumers in the process. The participants in the research process evaluated and presented their opinion regarding various designs, all of them being new and recently presented ones. There was frequent presentation of the same designs in a market situation, using the Repeated Evaluation Technique (RET).

The results of the research show that the opinion of the costumers is influences by their personal choice and the rigidity of opinion and age have little or no influence on the matter. The research also shows that the rigid the costumers are, the more time they would require in getting accustomed to the new designs presented in the market.
