This focuses on teaching children with ADD/ADHD. Chilren will occur in fluctuating severities and types, causing "significant impairments in interpersonal relations, marriage, emotional well-being, employment and daily adaptive functioning". Many adults with ADHD are remarkably intelligent, creative, people easily loved, and who are able to do many astonishing things. However, for many living with ADHD is like a race with a large backpack full of bricks. The term "Adult ADHD" with all the inaccuracies and ambiguities presented, has the virtue of naming a problem is often invisible as well as to differentiate from other more serious problems, which are useless, or counterproductive when put into the wrong person.

This focuses on managing the ADHD at home. Author puts light on the problem of inattention without hyperactivity is under-diagnosed, especially in girls and women. In addition, many adults with attention problems were never diagnosed in childhood or worse were marked with another title. The conceptualists ADHD as a biological problem, but the pills do not teach certain skills. Many adults benefit from coaching (manager of the behavior) to help them develop skills to improve their management, social or organization.
As for the difficulties in the workplace often has to do with impulse control and inattention. Doctors have also observed changes in driving skills, taking more risks, more reckless, more accidents, etc. There have also more difficulties in personal relationships and relationships. Similarly, there are adults with ADHD most Co morbid psychiatric disorders and substance use.

This focuses on the affect of ADHD on children school performance as they are unable to concentrate on their studies. The issues in work should be designed specifically for each person with the therapist. Often relate to: be consistent and meet targets, problems in interpersonal relationships, perception of poor performance, low-self esteem, etc. It may be useful to work in a group to help the understanding and acceptance of the disorder. Cognitive, behavioral therapy is the most efficient approach in conjunction with drug treatment, further improving the co-morbid depressive and anxiety symptoms.

This focuses on the cause of ADHD, an inability to associate a certain behavior to its consequences, leading to two problems in the control of behavior: changes in reinforcement learning mechanisms, and a difficulty in the cancellation of prior behavior strengthened, which would explain the impulsivity and inattention. Another interpretation is a deficit in cortical inhibitory control of stimuli, which may explain impulsive behavior, as well as cognitive impairment. One of the most prominent symptoms is a deficit in sustained attention, which is reflected electro-physiologically in a decrease in amplitude and latency of evoked potentials in unmediated patients, compared to healthy controls. Stimulants produce a restorative effect of this condition.
