In this article course of text through the editorial offices of an academic journal can give important information both about the performance of the journal as an instrument of its discipline and about the structure and evolution of the discipline itself. The authors took on an examination of the scripts presented to the Information Systems Research (ISR) for the duration of its starting years, 1987 through 1992, in an attempt to give a base for inspecting the performance of the journal, and to open a new way on to the information systems (IS) discipline during that era. Authors recognized the main investigatory query for each of 397 submissions to Information System Research. Vagueness in classification was subjugated to be familiar with assosiations among the groupings, and a few overarching subjects were revealed for the reason to depict stages of formation in the journals compliance flow. Researchers also inspected the contribution of submissions across categories and over the years of the study period, and compared the structures of the submissions stream and the publication stream. They present the outcomes with the objective of increasing the viewpoints which individual members of the IS study society have of ISR and to assist fuel society discourse about the nature and proper way of the study. Moreover, study of this article also gives few guiding principle to help person who reads in this interpretive charge, and present some explanations and assumptions to aid instigating the discussion.
