Much like humans these pets have to learn how to fend for themselves. They don't have the means to get a job so they scavenge for food in our trash, tear up whatever is left out and leave their feces wherever they feel the need to let go. A simple visit to the local vet to have your pet spayed or neutered is the most humane way of preventing this overpopulation. This may not be your life but it is a life or death decision we need to make to protect the defenseless cats and dogs of our community (American, 2010).

Municipalities are becoming more aware of the seriousness of this problem, but the only way to convince implement appropriate programs is to show you people you are concerned and have the cause to heart. In addition to it, National Endowment for the Protection of Animals, Funapa, is taken very seriously the issue of adoption and helps animals from the street completely, Funapa aims to rescue stray animals and take them to a worthy life, and that each of them at the time of development of life, as dogs or cats, females or males are neutered.

Funapa aims, to inform and educate and thus put into practice the animal rights and awareness of how to care for our pets than the epitome of ignorance of the owners in not giving them the quality of life they deserve.

It stands for Capturing, neutering and returning (CSR) is to reduce the number of animals. Animals in colonies are humanely trapped, then sterilized and vaccinated. Stray animals or young kittens are removed from the colony and they are placed for adoption.
