Anna Knight was a young girl with a well known intense hunger for knowledge. She was born in 1874 to former slaves in Mississippi, and with the passion of work and ambition, she grew up. Her intense perseverance and devotion to hard work allowed her to achieve various milestones during the course of her life.
Miss Knight served as an educational teacher, associate home missionary, Sabbath school secretary and associate home missionary of the Southeastern conference (Harlander, pp. 37).
