The Simpsons

In the Simpsons, Bart, despite being a child, he had several problems. He once drank too much, and because of that television cameras filmed him drunk, Springfield society seeks to restore the "dry law". During an episode, Bart appears under the influence of Focusyn, a remedy commonly prescribed by doctors to treat hyperactive children, because it enhances their ability to concentrate. Another character as Krusty is twice addicted to Percodan (Neuhaus, 2010). With respect to the addition of other factors, there are vast examples to prove as The Simpsons reflect the vices of Western society. For opening a casino in Springfield, Marge began having trouble with the game, comes as a victim of pathological gambling. A Krusty has seen in several chapters of life threatened by the consequences of the game. On another occasion, Bart and Milhouse are hesitant to try the "special Fresisuis" only sugar, Apu, and suffer an overdose of sugar that makes them hyperactive.

Discrimination is a topic discussed in many chapters, in which bills are seen to deport illegal immigrants, such as Apu (the owner of the supermarket). With Willy, (the manager of the Springfield High School) we can see how it "used" for all kinds of chores, but no one helps when you need it. As in the chapter of "The Jelly Venus," in which Homer saves the secret video recording in secret and when he is a "Peeping Tom" Homer is in a state of shock and looks at him contemptuous regardless of who was Willy who had saved their videos. Another example (which takes place in a remarkable chapter) is when, at a meeting of parents, Willy was burning, and interrupts the meeting but not authorized to talk and die (Neuhaus, 2010). This shows, as in our society as immigrants despise, in our case to those of neighboring countries, and exploit for our benefit, but we do not hear their complaints or their needs even though they are just or necessary.

The case of "homophobia" may be the time, but especially in the chapter in which Marge, Bart and Lisa befriend an employee "gay", very friendly and polite. Homer begins to worry when he heard of their sexual orientation, and ceases to be liked, even treats it aggressively. His biggest concern is that this individual "infect" your child, causing Homer find ways to teach Bart to be "more man (Neuhaus, 2010)”. This chapter reflects attitudes that appear in today's world society, towards homosexuality, and to topics "taboo" in general (such as prostitution, etc.).

The U.S. government received harsh criticism, as there are constant acts of corruption, especially in the police, and government. In the case of the police, you can see well marked lack of interest of employees, against any claim, or act of vandalism. In many cases, the police avoid risky situations or just misses (Guiasu & Guiasu, 2010). The police themselves are parodied as mere employees are dedicated to only eat donuts and walk around the ...
