Introduction

The purpose of this paper is to go through the various technological concepts and tools used, together with analyzing the instructional needs in each of those. Peripheral equipment, cloud computing, social networking tools, and Web 2.0 tools would be discussed in detail and their main features and uses would be highlighted.

Peripheral Equipment

Peripheral equipment, also known as the input/output devices, is referred to any equipment that is employed for giving more features to a computer system. Input denotes anything which goes in and similarly, output denotes anything which goes out. Any device in the absence of which the computer system can work fine is called peripheral equipment. Peripheral equipment is usually separated from the CPU by means of a device controller. Peripheral equipment is essential for the individuals so that they may interact with a computer system. Some peripheral equipment, like a computer monitor, display information. Oftentimes, peripheral equipment is labelled as input/output or I/O devices. These I/O devices are attached to a device controller that is attached to the computer system directly. Computer speakers are an example of an output device. Computer speakers are plugged in to a device controller known as an audio device. The device is attached to the rest of the internal system. Computer mouse is an example of input device, which is attached the same way as the output device. Additional memory devices like a secondary hard disk can at times be termed as peripheral equipment. The individuals who develop computer programs consider everything apart from the main memory and the processor an input/output device.

Cloud computing

Cloud computing refers to the custom of contracting out some portion of the technology of a company to a common mediator setup. The term cloud computing is novel however the notion is not new. Comparable contributions in history have been familiarized with the term “Application server provider”. The cloud in the term cloud computing generally denotes the internet and the entirety of the term comes to pass form this correspondence. There are very robust ties between cloud computing and the omnipresent computing, wherein there is an availability of numerous resources for employment through the internet. It is deep rooted in the systems of search and reclamation which evolved in the 1990s. Such systems of search and reclamation were initially founded on the concept of cluster computing however they ultimately wandered to the concept of grid computing which is geographically dispersed (Antonopoulos, 2010).
