Introduction
This paper aims to provide information regarding the novel “evolution of our present-time youth culture”. It will include an analysis of the novel in order to find out if it has included any information relating to youth culture being trending today. There are many elements of culture that can be found in the novel. For instance; it shows how the culture is changing with the passage of time.
Discussion
The novel reminds the readers about how things have been changed with the passage of time. It highlights an idea regarding how cultural will continue to change by the period of time. Culture is a group of people, defined by everything from language, religion, social habits, music and arts. Today, comparing United States with other countries around the world, the United States has the most immigrants from different cultural backgrounds. Talking particularly about my experience, I am an international student. When I first came to De Anza College, I tried to find out where my classroom will be, I still remember on that movement I was standing at the front of the Library building. I did not go to the orientation because I had to work overseas. I had no idea which building is for what and how to find out where is the building I was supposed to be. On that time, I wanted to ask someone for help, so I asked one of the guys who were walking in front of me, so I point out on the map and ask him where the classroom is and how can me get there. Then he just replied me by saying “hey sorry, I need to run to class right now, so please find another person for help. On that time I was so scared, I realized that I do not know anyone. This was the first time I came to this place and they all were talking with each other in English which is not my first language. If I need to say something, I need to translate it within my brain. It's hard for me when I start learning English, but time past, I got used to it. I think the hardest part of learning English is writing.
Culture is communication. But on these days, a lot of people lack communicational skills. A lot of people communicate less and less to each others. They just keep put all their time on their smart phone or on their computer. In “super sad truth Love story” also had talked about communication. The youth culture these days has a lot of communication problems, they don't talk to their family often or they didn't even talk to their family.
