Analysis of Literary Work

Literary Work

The literary work that I have chosen for this assignment is “The story of an Hour”. The story of hour is very interesting and appealing literary work which captures my attention. This literary work is interesting and appealing to my interest because I feel that every person in life goes through sudden emotional and psychological events that he or she never imagine of (Koloski, 1994). The way story is written about a woman who faced sudden shocks in her life of passing her husband and her 5 children in age of 25 years old is really heart-shaking and emotional in nature as well as contains the lesson of being bold in life changing circumstances. This story is true inspiration for people who get discouraged by little things in their life or who do not care about their loving ones (Jamil, 2009). The story goes on describing a woman who comes to know that her husband, the sole breadwinner in the family suddenly died, after which her life changes in which she face had to face very challenging circumstances (Mayer, 2010).
