Introduction

Change is an inevitable element of the human life, and the success of the organization lies in this evitable change, for it provides the ability to seize the opportunity presented in the surrounding for the development and growth of the organization. Change is an unavoidable phenomenon for organization especially when organizations are under the process of implementing wider projects, or large scale institutions. Changes transpire during these efforts or resulting from such efforts undertaken by the organizations. People in their lives encounter a time when they are required to take a role that is new to them. Whilst people may have to change for their jobs or the way they conduct their business. Organizations undertake major changes once in every three years, whereas, smaller changes is a continual process.

Understanding of organizational behavior is essential for the success of any business. Managers are the key influencer of organizational behavior, which enables them to foster positive change. Mangers should hold the ability to introduce change and manage change in a manner that every objective is met pertaining to change, while making certain that they support and guide their teams during the process of change.

Reasons for Organization Change

Change is one the element that is considered to be a persistent companion of an organization; however, the magnitude, implications, and drivers can vary. Change can be due to environmental factors, business trends, or shift in political, global and social sphere. It can also come about due to the expectations of stakeholders. It can be boarded in a strategic manner or proactive way, or can be a reactive process adopted in reaction to crisis, which can either be in the organization or outside the environment of the organization. It can involve quality improvement, changing needs of the market, enhancing the satisfaction of customers, reducing risk, staff retention, initiating environmental responsibility, or can be anything in between these factors (East, 2011; Holman & Devane, 1999).

A survey reported that a change is driven by corporate structure, cost reduction, and enhancing efficiency.
