Introduction

The 9/11 attacks had devastating impacts on the country, the economy, as well as, the people. These attacks were the worst in the history of the country and are an example of the worst type of terrorist attacks that ever took place around the world. Not only people lost their lives in these attacks, the economy of the country was shattered and the infrastructure if the country was at risk, as well. The country had to make sure that the disaster management system works in the best manner and that the people are not adversely impacted by it. This paper will analyze the attacks and how it impacted the critical infrastructure of the country.

Discussion

The National Infrastructure Prevention Program (NIPP) has helped the country in managing the infrastructure in situations where terrorist attacks are carried out. The attacks that were carried on the World Trade Centre in the United States hindered the economic growth of the country and caused huge damage to the country. The people living in the country were also negatively impacted and the people working in the World Trade Centre lost their jobs. After the attacks were carried out, the country made sure that it plans for the protection of its infrastructure as such buildings are of great importance to the country, as well as, the economy.

For this, the National Infrastructure Prevention Program (NIPP) was formed. This program supports a framework that is coordinated in the national infrastructure. This program brings together the government at all national levels and in the private sector, as well. The international organizations and the allies are brought together to make sure that the infrastructure of the country works in a manner that is helpful for people of the country.
