Introduction

This assignment will provide an overview of the threats United States of America is facing these days. It will also provide an overview of the different ways that the country can adopt to counter these problems.

Discussion

Terrorism

Under the umbrella of terrorism comes violence and violent actions such as kidnappings, assassinations , bombings, etc. to be understood against a political order to bring about political change. The terror is used as pressure medium and is mainly spread uncertainty and fear or generate sympathy and support readiness. Terrorism is not a military strategy, but primarily a communication strategy. Although terrorists seek to change the existing order, but they do not have an access to the militarily to space (such as guerrilla), but want to occupy the mind and thereby enforce change processes.

There is no generally accepted scientific definition of terrorism. Difficulties arise in particular the definition of terrorism and political resistance. Typically, individuals and movements from one side as violent, but legitimate underground or resistance fighters are considered, referred from another angle as terrorists, and vice versa (Krueger & Maleckova, 2003). The various legal definitions of the term, whether in national criminal law of any State or in international law, are often controversial for similar reasons. Individuals and groups who perpetrate attacks, terrorists or terrorist organizations, are referred to by politicians and the media often simply as terrorism, for example in terms such as international terrorism. The concept of state terrorism called state-organized or sponsored by acts of violence that are not based on a statutory basis and are valued as terrorists.

International Terrorism

International terrorism does have internal state goals, but the radius of action goes beyond the borders of the country and uninvolved third parties are victimized.

Domestic Terrorism

Domestic terrorism is originally referred to terror emanating from people who grew up inconspicuously in the destination country of terror, and came only there for their terrorist convictions. The term is used primarily in Anglophone speaking at Islamist terror applied in modern times.

They called it as the terrorist attacks on 7 July 2005 in London, where a total of 4 explosions at 3 underground trains and a bus, 56 people were killed and more than 700 were injured. Mostly from Pakistan coming perpetrators were born in Britain, came from secular families, were integrated into community life before they joined the Islamist organizations, and practiced terrorism against their own country. The term was introduced because people who have especially entered for this purpose mainly carried out previous Islamist terrorist attacks in Western countries. The conservative motivated vigilante anti-matic terrorism is not intended as opposed to other forms of terrorism to the weakening but to the strengthening from the existing state order, but by the laws upon which this order is based, are broken by vigilantism. The racist Ku Klux Klan in the U.S. and paramilitary groups in Latin America and Northern Ireland can be described as vigilante anti-matic terrorism.
