Introduction

The Clayton County Library System was founded in 1941 to provide a variety of library services. Currently it has more than five libraries in Georgia. Its libraries have multipurpose reading and meeting rooms that host number of educational and cultural activities. The library possesses more than 400,000 books, journals and magazines. It also owns over 8,500 CDs and audio tapes and approximately 5,000 videos. Furthermore, the Library maintains above 130 computers with internet access for use of the general public. Such a vast and comprehensive structure of the library has some basic needs to be fulfilled. The important of them all is the shortage of funds so that the library can manage its affairs smoothly. The paper will find out a different method to can help Clayton County Library to meet its needs.

Purpose Statement

Purpose statement is to give the essence and purpose of the research (Merriam, 2009). The purpose of this study is to identify the methods that can help to meet the need of Clayton County Library through sustainability planning, community building and advocacy.

Research questions

Developing a research question is not an easy task and sometimes it may result in the biasness of the researcher (Thomas et al., 2009). In this research paper, three important questions are raised. How the needs of the library can be met through sustainability planning? How community building can meet the needs of library? How advocacy can meet the needs of library?

Significance of the Study

The importance of library for the betterment of the society's awareness is well established and well known. It is important for the library to work properly without any hindrance. This paper has identified how it can meet its need through sustainability planning, community building and advocacy.
