Introduction
The traumatic disorder leaves a person in a condition of stress, anxiousness and sadness. Usually, after the traumatic experience by a person, he or she might feel sad, frightened, disconnected and different from others. These conditions are found to be usual among those who have faced a severe traumatic disorder. When these conditions are temporary than it is considered to be normal, however, when the conditions of sadness, and disorder became prolonged then a person is said to be suffered from post traumatic stress disorder or PSTD. It is also difficult to get back to the normal life again. The conditions of PTSD are found to be more common in Hispanic Americans than any other racial or ethnic group in the world. It has been identified that the cultural background of Hispanic Americans plays a pivotal role in increasing the risks of PTSD among the Hispanic Americans. A number of researchers have identified the cultural factors prevalent in the Hispanic culture which promotes PTSD among Hispanic Americans. These factors include lower social support, greater wishful thinking, and greater peritraumatic dissociation, self blame coping and increased perceived racism.
