The imperial crisis which is also known as the crisis of the third century was considered as the period in which the entire Roman Empire collapsed due to the pressures caused by the invasion, civil war and the economic depression. The entire empire was divided into three parts and the political stability was affected. Due to the crisis, many profound changes occurred in the financial institution of the empire and also in the economic stability. This period was described by many historians as the period of antiquity and late antiquity.
