The twilight series has set a trend of its own, and has influenced the young generation in several ways. It is a young-adult vampire-romance novel. Isabella is one of the major characters in the novel on whom the story revolves around. It charts a period in her life, a teenage age girl who moves to Forks, and falls in love with a vampire “Edward”. On the other hand, Jacob is one of the significant characters who is a warewolf, and falls in love with Bella at the same time.

Stephenie Meyer is an author and producer, undoubtedly best known for her 'Twilight Series”. She was ranked #49 on Time Magazine in the list of “100 Most Influential People in 2008”. She says that idea for twilight came to her in a dream. It was about a young girl and a vampire who fall in love with each other. She saw how the vampire loves her, and thirsted for her blood on the same time. Her initial dream made her write a draft, which then became chapter 13 of the book. Meyer completed the novel in 3 month, but never intended to publish it as she was writing it for her own enjoyment. It was her sister who motivated her to get the book publishes as she found the matter very interesting. Soon after the novel was published, it was named the Publishers Weekly Best Book of the Year. Following the success of the book, the story was further expanded into a series.
