Reasons

In the late 1890's America expanded its territory and this was because of certain reasons that led to this. There were two main reasons that led to the expansion of America.

Increase of Geographical Area

Firstly, the country wanted to increase the physical size of the geographical area that was covered. By defeating Spain and Philippines, the country was able to include them in its own territory.
