Introduction

Watergate is undoubtedly the biggest political scandal in the history of the United States, which as we know ended with the resignation of President Richard Milhous Nixon, happened the first time in American history. The objective of this research is to analyze the causes that led to the outbreak this “political storm” and the effects of it, in the political and legal environment in the United States.
