The great depression faced by the Americans in 1930s and it was a worldwide event which began due to the involvement of government in the society and the economy. This event created adverse impacts on millions of lives of American residents (Garcia, n.d.). It was a great and enormous tragedy which placed thousands of millions of American residents out of their work. There were adverse effects of great depression on the American society. Homelessness, unemployment, Hoovervilles, Dust Bowl and starvation and illness were the major effects of great depression (Garcia, n.d.).
