We will be using Betty Neuman's system theory. The Meta paradigms are discussed below:
Person
The person is the first and foremost Meta Paradigm of Betty Neuman's System Theory. Person is considered to be a layered multidimensional being. There are various dimensions attached with a person.
Each layer is divided into five variables or subsystems. The variables are Physical, Psychological, Socio-cultural, Developmental and spiritual. All these variables are responsible for maintaining Stability of the system. The model considers client's response to stress as it enhances client stability.
Environment
Environment is considered to be another important Meta paradigm of Betty Neuman's Systems Model. It pertains to the presence of internal and external factors which play a huge role in the daily life of Persons. More specifically, Environment consists of internal and external factors that envelop a person.
These factors are said to play an important role because person interacts with them on a regular basis. We are exposed to different types of stresses on a daily basis. One factor cannot be blamed for the alarming increase in stress. These three forces combine to not only increase stress in a person but also contribute in the instability of the system.
Health
Health is considered to be another essential Meta Paradigm of Betty Neuman's Systems Theory. It pertains to the wellness of the person. Health is said to be achieved when all parts are in agreement with the whole of client system. If more energy is needed than what is available, the client system moves towards illness and death. On the other hand, when more energy is available than what is needed, the client system moves towards wellness.
Nursing
Nursing is an honourable profession catering to the needs of the patients. It is involved in dealing with all the variables that induce a person's response to stressors. Whenever the person is responding to stressors, some variables are generated.
Nursing interacts with these variables. The goal of Nursing is to address the person as a whole. The main aim of Nursing is to ensure stability of the human system. It strives to achieve an optimum level of wellness.

Nursing Diagnosis
In order to get to the root cause of instability, Nursing requires a complete diagnosis of the factors. The emphasis for Nurse at this stage is to compare the variances from wellness to make the diagnosis.
For this purpose a large database is at their disposal through which they can analyze all the variances related to wellness. This assists them in their diagnosis about the factors leading to instability of the human system (McEwen & Wills, 2011).
Nursing Goals
There are certain Nursing goals which need to be accomplished for a successful stability. It is not easy for Nurses to accomplish this task easily. The Nursing goals are accomplished by having negotiation with the client.
Additional appropriate prevention should be used. At the same time, intervention strategies are being decided in order to successfully tackle the ...
