Abstract
The paper attempts to highlight the concept of herbal medication for the purpose of curing obesity. It briefly discusses the historical use of herbs ranging back to the times of Egyptian civilizations. The paper then focuses on the “Tsistozeyra bearded herb” and describes its use for curing obesity. The required dosage, benefits and contradictions associated with the use of Tsistozeyra bearded herb are discussed. The paper also presents a brief research about obesity and herbal medication. It then gives recommendation for the use of Tsistozeyra bearded herb for curing obesity and highlights the implications for nursing practices.

Background
The history of human use of herbs is as old as human civilization itself. Herbs have been used in medicine of the ancient Egyptians and Mayans civilizations. Apparently they already knew the use of herbs such as chamomile, mint and garlic. The ancient Egyptians used the properties of aloe vera, mint and anise (Blake, 2000). During the middle ages, herbs and their use mostly covered the nun. Later in the period of renaissance, pharmacists took over the plot of herbs and began to replace them with drug medications.
Dosage
The herb under consideration for the curing obesity is Tsistozeyra bearded. The normal dosage of this herb would be one tablespoon daily. Taking one tablespoon of dried herbs and cooking it in one liter of water for 10 minutes before it is used is recommended (Khare, 2004).
