However, Aleš Hrdlicka only got to relish, and spend his early childhood in Czech Republic, and soon his family had taken the decision of moving to America, and eventually in the year 1881 he along with his family had moved to America, in endeavour to acquire a better and lucrative lifestyle. In the early phase of his life, the baptismal name that Aleš Hrdlicka was given was Alois; however, later Ales himself had changed this name into Ales, perceiving it to be a rather more patriotic form.
The education journey of Aleš Hrdlicka, for him began at his home. His mother had decided to educate her extremely gifted child at home. For a naïve mind, a definite question is bound to arise in his mind that primary education is believed to be imperative for every child, as it plays a pivotal role in forming and consolidating the basic educational base for a child, then how come Aleš Hrdlicka was believed to be an exception by his mother. As mentioned earlier, Aleš Hrdlicka was an extremely gifted child; it was his knowledge, skills and swift receptivity that enabled him to afford skipping his primary school education, and instead, to attain it at home via his mother. He was 13, when he along with his family had moved to America, and where his father had to endure the futile attempt at making out living out of a job at a cigar family. Soon after his arrival in America, Aleš Hrdlicka opted to enhance his English speaking skills, for which he had joined the evening English courses. Eventually, being affected by his own life, as he was suffering from tuberculosis, Aleš Hrdlicka decided to study medicine, at the age of 18.
