Abstract

The study examines the negative health consequences of asthma attack and the preventive measures. It also addresses the effectiveness of Albuterol vs. levalbuterol inhaler in treating asthma. The study uses the secondary lietrature review by selectign the relevant research articlrs. The results will be analysed through the intrepretation of the secondary sources. The study will facilitate learning about asthma and its prevention.

Albuterol vs. Levalbuterol in Asthma

Introduction

Asthma is a chronic disease that obstructs the air ways, in our respiratory system, to swell and sore. It is a common inflammatory disease, and its severity varies according to the condition of the patient. The cells and cellular elements play a vital role in the chronic inflammation and hyper responsiveness, in the respiratory system. Asthma is the obstruction that can be reversible either with the passage of time or with clinical assistance (Tarlo, Susan M; Liss, Gary, 2005).

'Regardless of the triggers of asthma, the repeated cycles of inflammation in the lungs with injury to the pulmonary tissues followed by repair may produce long-term structural changes ("remodeling") of the airways. This review will discuss in greater detail the relationships of inflammation and airway hyper responsiveness to the pathophysiology of asthma.

Significance of the Study

The results of this study will be significant for both, the doctors, as well as the patients. This is said because of the fact that it is not possible for the doctor to always be with the patient having asthma problem. Therefore, in order to deal with the asthma attack at any time, it is important to have some sort of a medicine or a drug that the patient can use when he has the attack. Once this study is conducted, it will allow the doctors to analyze the results of this study and suggest his or her asthma patients to have the best inhaler for tackling the asthma attack. On the other hand, the patient will also benefit, as he will have the best medicine to deal with such asthma attacks.

Purpose of the Study

The purpose of the study is to examine the negative health consequences of asthma and preventive measures. This paper will also focus on the study and the comparison of Albuterol and Levalbuterol inhaler in asthma keeping in view the selected research articles.

Literature Review

In order to deal with the attacks of asthma, medicines have been developed that are inhaled through the inhalers they come in. These inhalers prove are used when the asthma patient has an asthma attack, in order to negotiate the negative consequences that the attack can have, if the inhaler is not used on time of the attack. The severity of the negative consequences of these attacks can result in the death of an individual. Therefore, it is inhaler for every patient having asthma to always have inhaler with him or her, in order to negotiate the negative ...
