Aging Patients are prone to more diseases than younger people as their reflexes become slow and their overall body structure become weak. For the Aging Patients, specialized health care organizations have been setup and Nurses are getting specialized training in this field to provide quality services to aging patients. With the advancement in technology, organizations are coming up with new methods that would assist them to solve problems related to older patients.

In western countries, the population of Aging Patients has been increasing significantly. It would give to separate caretaking institutes for old age people, and it already has been initiated by some people. Geriatric care is a broad example of such centers (Oates, et.al, 2007).

Geriatric care is a classic definition in Geriatrics. It is therefore, an organization of health and social resources to meet the needs of elderly people in different respects. Its primary objective is to keep the elderly integrated into the community. Reviewing aspects of the definition one by one, the care of the elderly should be complete and comprehensive. It is supposed to be included in the traditional health system, avoiding marginalization in the use of resources. It must also be comprehensive, collecting all the medical, functional, psychological and social factors directly into the health of the elderly. It must be interdisciplinary with the organized participation of many professionals in the care of the elderly, caring for the various aspects. It is likewise organized in different levels, adapted to the need for careful and progressive treatment of the aging patients, from critical care to acute and convalescence (Verberk, et.al, 2008).

The trend of providing health services at the doorstep of the patient has also been increasing, because they find it difficult to go to the doctor or healthcare organization to get the desired treatment. It is the family doctor responsible for the care of the elderly in the community. Moreover, most of the elderly in our country live in community settings and only 3% of those over 65 live in nursing homes. The family doctor will carry out education and health promotion, preventive measures such as vaccination campaigns and surveillance of chronic diseases at the place of the patient.
