The Age of Reason, according to some started around 1630, while some say that it started in 1687 and lasted until the French Revolution. In the era, the Enlightenment was a cultural movement or movement of intellectuals in Europe with the aim to use of reason and philosophy to promote, which later moved to America too. Enlightenment stood for the advancement of science and intellectual exchange. The propagandists of the Enlightenment contested the superstition, the abuse of rights in church and state, intolerance and stand for certain fundamental rights.
