Introduction

Literature can be considered, not as a quality or a set of inherent qualities that are striking in certain works, but as the different ways that people relate to writing. It is not easy to separate from everything in one form or another; this is called "literature." There is absolutely nothing that constitutes the very essence of literature. Literature is any text that, for one reason or another, someone has a lot. This term refers to the role of text in a social context, to which it relates to its environment and what differentiates it from him, his behaviour, the purposes for which they can be targeted and that human activities around.The African- American Literature

Black American literature is a literary trend of U.S. writers produced by African Americans. It has its origins in the authors from the late eighteenth century such as Phillis Wheatley and Olaudah Equiano, reaching its peak with the stories of slavery and the Harlem Renaissance in the inter-war period. Today, the biggest names in the literature are Toni Morrison, Maya Angelou and Walter Mosley. It deals with very diverse topics, the place of blacks in American society, racism, slavery and equality. The African-American literature inspired by the forms of speaking and music as the Negro spirituals, sermons, gospel, the blues, or more recently in the report.Langston Hughes

Langston Hughes (1902-1967), is one of the most influential black-American writers, who is well known for his tremendous work. He was a major player in the "Harlem Renaissance". This multifaceted aesthetic movement (literature, theatre, graphic arts, music) lasted from just after the First World War until the mid-thirties. This movement was also very creative aspirations and the bearer of social criticism on the American black people and America as a whole. We will have a glimpse in the poems of Langston Hughes that follow (Gates, 2007, Pp. 123-134).

In addition, Langston Hughes has been a key figure in literature and most the scholarly and academic institutions accept his great and excellent work today. Hughes seems to realize his goals, his life experience and other African American literature dreams. The perspective he took towards the expression of his ideas was realistic like other writers of African American origin of his time. His talent and works recognized by most of the renowned authors of Harlem Renaissance period; Langston Hughes received a number of recognitions and awards for his contribution made towards the modern and African American history, which further proved his remarkable literacy talent. Hughes has also received the prestigious NAACP's Spingarn Medal for his outstanding work. He also went into winning the first prize for a magazine called Opportunity. His play Mulatto was the longest running Broadway play by an African American author and his book called “Simple Speaks His Mind” ...
