This will be a purely online business targeting the masses and the lower middle classes who may not have access to medical insurance because of any reason. The development of the idea for an Affordable health insurance needs two major things - planning of the website and making of money from the website. Introduction

There are many ways of streaming revenue such as starting a new business, doing charity work, investing in a business or just selling something. However, not all of them are successful. The idea that I have thought of is Affordable Medical Insurance. This is a novel idea in that medical insurance for most US citizens is provided by the employer of the person. However, for people who are entrepreneurs there is a need to purchase health insurance. Not everybody can afford health insurance policies that are provided by different banks and insurance companies. Our company will be supported by funds from other organizations and will be offering insurance at lower rates.

The Big Idea

The big idea is to launch an Affordable Medical Insurance Website. This website will be targeting the masses and the lower middle classes who may not have access to medical insurance because of any reason. The selling of this insurance online removes the cost of setting up a physical infrastructure for the health insurance (Chopra, 2010). In addition, e-business gives the company an advantage over organizations with brick and mortar business models as they can cater to more number of people. A greater target market leads to a greater chance of revenue generation.

Development of the idea

The development of the idea for an Affordable health insurance needs two major things - planning of the website and making of money from the website.

One of the most important aspects of developing a website is deciding where to host the website. There are a number of hosting companies out there that offer hosting services for different charges. The company will assess its own needs of hosting keeping in view the business model, the products being offered as well as the target market. To begin with, the website will be made search friendly. This means that the keywords that will be used on the website should be such that it appears in search over and over. In addition, since there is severe competition, the company will strive to design a website that stands out both in terms of its layout as well as the content. Search Engine Optimization will be kept in mind. In designing of a superior website, the colors, designs, pictures used all matter a lot, other than content.
