Abstract

The process of growing old with changes in the physical and mental alteration in human body represents aging. This change process begins in a cell followed by organs and organ systems.

According to the West Virginia Rural Healthy Aging Network: “Process of healthy aging is based on an improvement and conservation of finest physical, psychological and community well-being of an old person”. This can be accomplished through enhanced safety; well-being and better health condition's to diminish diseases. It consists of emphasis of basic health requirements; heighten health, enhanced social involvements and independence.

Introduction

The process of growing old with changes in the physical and mental alteration in the human body represents aging. This change process begins in a cell followed by organs and organ systems. Reduction in the physiological functions increases metabolic stress (Partridge and Mangel, 1999).

Aims and Objectives

The aim behind the study of aging pattern is to critically evaluate the social, psychological, mental and physical health related issues in old age. The objective behind study is to determine and facilitate the noninstitutionalized older people. Improvement in the coordinate care and also help older people to care for themselves through facilities provision. The objective is to understand and evaluate the aging issues as aging is followed by the decline in human immune responses, known as Immunosenescence; this triggers inflammation process due to elevated cytokines levels in the circulation. This ultimately contributes to various age related health problems. Studies to determine the facilitation of complete healthcare services to the aged population are also examined. (Franceschi et al., 2000; Bruunsgaard et al., 2001). Aging in USA population is one of the mainstream health apprehensions and focus is to boost the plan of older people living long, healthy and spend active life.

Ethical considerations

The studies conducted by Yeboah, C., Bowers, B., & Rolls, C. (2013) on the relocation of aged people in the nursing homes suggested that cultural consideration and the quality of nursing homes and strategies to fulfill the requirements of the aged population according to their cultural values are very important consideration s to maintain aesthetic aging among population. The care for older people varies according to the cultures and values of every society. The cultural considerations involve the educational, recreational, health related awareness programs for the aged population (Albertini, Kohli & Vogel, 2007).

Impact and significance

According to the studies of GWPS (Geriatrics workforce policy studies centre), 2013, the help us analyze the problems related to aging and development and implementation of the policies to resolve healthcare national issues. The improved nursing and family care will impact healthier towards aged people.

Discussion Analysis

The statistical studies and evaluations have shown that people age above (65) in 2010 showed about 40.4 million, this reflects one in every eight American is aged and represents 13% of the total population.
