Goal Setting

In order to reach any goal, proper planning and implementation of certain strategies is very important. Only setting up of a specific goal is not sufficient but there should also be mention of all the strategies which will be used in order to achieve the goal. I set up a goal to achieve grade B in CD67 class. After setting this goal, I recognized that it is not an easy task and I will have to work very hard in order to achieve this goal. But I knew that I can achieve this goal if I study from the first day attentively. The presence of passion and dedication is very important If I want to achieve my goal. If a person does not have passion and dedication then he cannot achieve any goal. Similarly, consistency is also another important factor which must be present in order to achieve any goal.

I myself also recognized that without dedication, passion and consistency I could not achieve this goal. When I got decent numbers in the assignments and quizzes in CD67, I knew that I will achieve B grade in CD67. I learnt many things during this goal setting process about myself. When I started to work upon this goal I came to know that I will have to allocate more time to studies. Similarly, I found out that lack of consistency was a major problem that I was experiencing due to which I failed to get good grades. This time I knew that I will have to be consistent and allocate some time daily in order to achieve this goal. I was able to achieve my goal with the help of proper planning and implementing effectively what I planned. Moreover, I also monitored my plan throughout and updated it whenever I feel the need to update it.

Avoiding will be appropriate conflict handling mode in this case. It will be appropriate because my sister in law does not listen to me at all and thinks that she has all the knowledge in world about raising the children. If I will not avoid what she says then there are chances that the conflict between us becomes strong. Therefore, avoiding will be the best conflict handling mode in this situation. Now if next time my sister in law discusses with me about my children I will either try to ignore her or change the topic by switching over to another topic instead of arguing with her.

In this case, competing will be the appropriate conflict handling mode. This will be the appropriate mode because my co-teacher has become habitual of coming late to school due to which I find difficulty in handling the children. I will warn her for the final time and if even then she comes late, I will inform it to the head of the school and will not worry if she is penalized for her coming late to ...
