Introduction

Business and organizations need to expand and allow restructuring as part of their expansion, growth and development strategy. However, the restructuring process requires a special emphasis on the operational and administrative processes of the company that could provide reasonable return to the shareholders, improve the liquidity position of the company and enhance the credit availability. This paper focuses on the role of administration in the restructuring process in relation to the other management functions in the organization under restructuring process. The need for a specific role of administrator in the organization while it is going through the restructuring process is also highlighted. In order to comply with the standards of a successful and efficient organization while maintaining the policies and procedures at the time of restructuring process, the administration need to take decisions regarding the implementation of such strategies and tools that assist the process of restructuring. The different organizations are merged to form a single organization usually at the time of expansion or restructuring process (Recardo & Heather, 2013).

It is required that the administration creates a single framework for managing the different organizations as one in order to achieve success in the industry. The process of information management with respect to the restructuring process in the health authority has been analyzed in the paper focusing on the role of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the health care organization. For the effective dissemination of the common set of policies and procedures, an effective model of communication is also required to be implemented within the organizations. A model of communication is presented in the paper that addresses the stakeholders of the organization inside and outside the organization. The plan to consult staff is provided and a suggested plan for the implementation of the common set of policy is presented that would allow all changes to happen as quickly as possible while allowing the staff training and the system development within the organization.

Role of Administration

Administration provides a more dynamic approach towards management of an organization in usual operations and in certain times such as the restructuring process. Administration lies at the managerial level operation of the organization. It is concerned with the integration of work and the co- ordination at the organizational level. It also takes into account the technical level such as the allocation of resources within the organization and the operational control of the technical functions of the organization. During the restructuring process, the administration will help in the proper execution of the common set of policy plan implementation along with the collaboration of other management functions including the human resource management and operations management.
