Abstract

In this assignment, I will address the suitable type of training that will address the needs of the employees and the organization and how different models/methods can address the training needs of the employees. A fairly good blueprint for the selection and recruitment of prospective employees is maintained by most modern organizations. It is the responsibility of the human resource department to confirm that the necessary training is received by the new employee so that he or she can perform her or his functions effectively. Orientation and performance into the culture of the organization can be greatly affected by both evaluation and training, depending upon the position of the individual. In order to make sure that such training is developed that help the organization in accomplishing its objectives, data must be gathered to determine the existing training needs, this process, is known as, training needs assessment. Careful scrutiny of other factors, costs, raw materials, production, personnel and mission objectives, is required in identifying the training needs for employees.

Introduction

A fairly good blueprint for the selection and recruitment of prospective employees is maintained by most modern organizations. However, to upgrade skills of their workforce, they lack in providing an organized system for continuous training. It is the responsibility of the human resource department to confirm that the necessary training is received by the new employee so that he or she can perform her or his functions effectively. An orientation to the organizational values, vision, mission and culture, are the factors included in new employee training programs.

For a specific job functions, job specific training might also be required and which is also included in the new employee training programs. In this assignment, I will address the suitable type of training that will address the needs of the employees and the organization and how different models/methods can address the training needs of the employees.

The Decision for Relevant Type of Training

It is essential to do the research about the current situation of the company, before creating the training program. To create a customized and relevant training plan for my company, I will first gather the relevant information. By identifying and researching needs throughout the company, I will first conduct a needs analysis (Patterson & Hobley, 2003). By immediately saving my company from wasting valuable energy, money and time on unnecessary training, needs analysis is the best way to get my training off on the right foot.
