Personal background

I have been a stand-up comedian for 10 years and my stuff mostly about growing up as a Mexican American family. My influences as a singer and actor, actor / comedian John Leguizamo, because I admire his comedic abilities, his dedication to the craft of action, and that we both Latin I feel that it is a kind of inspiration to artists from the Latino culture, John Leguizamo John Leguizamo is an Colombian-Puerto Rican comedian, actor and producer working in Hollywood film industry.

John was born in Bogota, Colombia. His father, Alberto Leguizamo was Puerto Rican Realtor living in Colombia who met and married a young girl of Colombian named Luz (Leguizamo145). In 1968 the couple emigrated with their children in the United States and settled in Jackson Heights section of Queens in New York. John received his primary and secondary schools in Queens. As a student in high school, John would write funny stuff and check it out on their classmates. He was voted "Most Talkative" of his fellow students. After graduating from high school, John enrolled at New York University, where he took theater classes.

John started as a stand-comedian doing a nightclub in New York circuit. In 1984 he made his debut television with a small part in Miami. In 1985, John landed a small part of the credits, making his debut film, a "mixed blood" and in 1989 he also had a small role in "Casualties of War." In 1991, John participated in the "Hanging with the Homeboys". In the same year he wrote and took part in the Off-Broadway production of "Mambo Mouth", where he played seven different characters. Mambo Mouth won Obie and Outer Critics awards. He was named one of 12 "Promising Actors New 1991" in "John Willis' Screen Worlds Vol. 43."

In 1993, John wrote and participated in "Spic-O-Rama", where he makes fun of stereotypes of Latinos in the United States. Production won the Drama Desk Award and four Cable Ace Awards.
