Acupuncture is generally used by a number of people, today. The purpose of the article is to evaluate the efficiency of the acupuncture in reducing the symptoms of eye syndrome. It further discusses the effects that psychological factors have on outcome and the validity of the several controlled procedures. A sample of thirty-nine participants was randomly selected from the dental school out-patient clinic. These participants were aged between 17-90 years. These patients were randomly assigned to either real or placebo acupuncture. The post treatment placebo acupunctures analysis showed extremely negative effects of the treatment for example, shallow breathing, dizziness, nausea, heaviness, pain, numbness, soreness, drowsiness, and discomfort. A statistical tool (Schirmer tests) was applied on the data collected through questionnaires in order to evaluate the performance and the effectiveness of the treatment.

Introduction
Acupuncture is an effective and enjoyable alternative to traditional methods of treating disease. Acupuncture is a method of alternative medicine has a positive effect in a number of diseases of the optic (Perry and Donnenfeld, 2003, pp. 26-32). Dry eye syndrome has common symptoms which include dry eyes sensations, easily tired, sleepy, itching, foreign body sensation, pain, burning sensation, heavy eyelids tight, thick secretions, afraid of the wind, photophobia, very sensitive to external stimuli, temporary blurred vision and, sometimes too dry eyes (Yokoi, et al, 1999, pp. 723-729). Lack of basic tear but to stimulate the reflex tear secretion caused by tears often flow of symptoms, more serious eye swelling, congestion, corneal epithelial non intact filaments adhesion, long-term the injury will result in corneal and conjunctival lesions, and will affect vision. Alternative method for treatment is to use artificial tears, wearing goggles or obstruction of lacrimal point in the severe patients. Disease described anatomy of the tear quality and quantity due to various causes or dynamics resulting in an unstable tear film and abnormalities, leading to ocular surface tissue lesions can cause eye dryness and other symptoms caused by 60 ocular surface disease and is characterized by a variety of ailments general term (Ernst, 2006, pp. 125-131). Most patients complain about eye foreign body sensation, burning sensation and general eye discomfort.
The discomfort is often proof of dry eye, corneal surface throughout the sensory nerve endings. A substantial proportion of patients with photophobia and intermittent blur or other vision problems. Dry eye patients are often easy to tell their own eyes fatigue, difficulty makes reading and watching TV. The occurrence of the reason for the difficulty is when the work requires focus, blink purpose frequency decreased significantly.
